Your runs are yours.
EverRun is a game, not a data business. This page lists everything the game keeps about you, who can see it, and how to delete it. Updated 17 October 2026.
Never collected
- Your running route. The Watch records run totals only, and no map of where you went ever leaves your devices.
- Where you live, or where you are when you're not playing.
- Your name or email from Apple. If you link your Apple ID, Apple gives EverRun a private ID number, which is stored scrambled.
- Contacts, photos or advertising IDs. There are no ads and no tracking or analytics tools in the app or on this website.
What the game keeps
- Your hero and progress: hero name, class and look, levels, EXP, gold, items, troops, forts held, alliance, duels, quests, achievements and badges.
- Run totals: the date (not the time of day), distance, duration, moving time, calories, steps, average heart rate and cadence. The last 100 runs are kept for your run history.
- Daily step count, for followers, quests and morale.
- Your time zone, so daily quests reset at your midnight.
- A sign-in key for your phone, stored scrambled, so the game knows it's you.
- In-game alerts, like "your fort was raided".
Location
Your iPhone uses your location to show the forts around you. To fetch them, the server is only told which map square (about 5 km across) to look in. When you attack or join a fort, your position is sent once to check you're close enough, and then thrown away. A duel's meeting point is held in memory only while the duel is open. An optional home zone, set in Privacy on the Hero tab, stays on your phone and stops forts near your home being taken or joined.
Apple Health
With your permission, the Watch reads heart rate, distance, active energy and steps from Apple Health during a run, and saves each run to Health as a workout. Only the run totals listed above are sent to the game. Health data is never sold, shared or used for advertising.
What other players see
Your hero name, class, level, forts, alliance and leaderboard totals (such as distance this month). Your alliance can see your run totals unless you turn that off. Privacy mode, in Privacy on the Hero tab, hides your name and profile everywhere: you show as an unnamed player, and your forts show only as "held".
Beta sign-ups
The sign-up form keeps your email, first name and suburb, only for your TestFlight invite and beta news. Invites are sent by Apple through TestFlight, so your email and first name are passed to Apple for that. The list is never shared otherwise or sold. To be taken off it, email [email protected].
Where it's kept, and deleting it
Game data is stored on a server EverRun rents from DigitalOcean, behind Cloudflare, which protects the site from attacks. The server keeps no log of who visited or from where. This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts and its map pictures from OpenStreetMap, which see the request like any website visit. Backups are taken hourly and the last 48 are kept.
Delete everything any time from Privacy on the Hero tab: Delete my hero and all data. Your hero, runs and progress are removed at once, your name is taken off past leaderboards, and the last backups holding them are replaced within two days.
Testing with TestFlight
Beta builds are installed through Apple's TestFlight. Apple shares crash reports and any feedback you send through TestFlight with the developer, as described in Apple's TestFlight privacy notice.
